This is YOUR Invitation.
Following Jesus requires that we go all in. Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength,” so we are going back to some foundational Biblical rhythms in this two-year discipleship initiative. As a church, we have been working on listening to what God is calling us to and we are experiencing great unity around that vision and direction.
A vision without resources is just a dream.
That’s why this discipleship initiative has a generosity emphasis embedded in it. Without apology, we are asking those who are committed to Rainier View to be ALL IN, so that our community can be reached, our children and families discipled, and the transforming love of Jesus seen and felt around the neighborhoods of Pierce County and around the world.
Our primary focus is discipleship, and the essence of discipleship is being a follower of Jesus who is ALL IN. We want to follow him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). It means we let Him shape the way we serve, pray, relate with others, worship, and give.
Our secondary focus is unapologetically an emphasis on generosity. When we are generous with what God has given us materially, that leads to generosity in all the other areas of our lives as well. The transformation that happens within us is far more important than what our giving provides.
